Jammu: Taking the support campaign for CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) at grass root level, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) addressed and interacted with hundreds of Muslims including Gujjars at Ward 32 near Revenue Complex, Talab Tillo. The participants supported the move of Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing such a law which will unite the nation on a single platform. Sharma was also accompanied by State Secretary BJP & Corporator Sanjay Baru, Mandal President Talab Tillo Keshav Chopra, Corporator Sat Pal Karlupia and many others.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that day by day the support for CAA is increasing and many people including those who did not understood the law before are now openly supporting the decision of Modi Government for bringing such an Act. He stated that politics of hatred and misconception which was started by Congress is now diminished and people have realized today that the move taken by Central Government was for the betterment of those people who were leading a life full of torture in countries like Pakistan. He also stated that BJP is committed on the agenda of “SABKA SATH SABKA VIKAS SABKA VISHWAS” and this is the only reason that every segment was benefitted irrespective of their religion during last five and a half years.

Sanjay Baru said that parties opposing the implementation of CAA must not forget that their leaders since independence also advocated for implementation of same and what they are doing today is totally against the friendly atmosphere built by all religions living in this country. He also exhorted the people present to organize more programs, meetings, rallies and marches in support of CAA to counter the negative propaganda floated by opposition.

Keshav stated that India Supports CAA because it is about giving citizenship to persecuted refugees living in neighboring countries and not about taking anyone’s citizenship away. He appealed citizens to show open hearted support in favor of CAA and also asked them to not to fall into the traps of communalism and hatred led by Congress and its allies. 

Gujjar leaders also stated that Congress, NC & PDP exploited them from decades and Narendra Modi is the only leader who thought about welfare of every segment of society including Gujjars and many benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes were directly given which changed the lifestyle of common man.

Rajesh Saini, Arun Dubey, Sahil Sharma, Lal Hussain, Zakir Ahmed, Bashir, Zain, Babar, Mohammad Ali, Murtaza, Azhar Choudhary, Rashid Ahmed, Yousuf, Mohd Shafi, Jameel Deen, farooq Choudhary, Shamina Akhter, Razia Choudhary, Rashida, Tahira Bano and several others were also present.
